Durga Madiraju

Durga Madiraju (born November 17, 1968)¹ is a Software Engineer²⁴ and a critically acclaimed American poet of Indian descent.^19,22,26,30 Her pen name is Jane Summers.^10,18  She is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Madiraju is the CEO and owns the Summers Market Place store.¹³ 

Early life and education

Madiraju was born in Hyderabad, India to Dr. Chinta Chidananda Rao, a Chief Medical Officer of South Central Railway, and Chinta Visalakshi. Her father was a doctor, who retired as a chief medical officer in South Central Railway, and her mother, a housewife. She has four sisters and one brother.²  Madirajus's father always wanted her to enroll in a medical school but her mother motivated her to be where she is today.²⁰

Madiraju holds a BS degree in Accounting from Osmania University and an MA degree in Economics from the University Of Hyderabad, India.¹⁷ In 1992, she earned an MBA degree (Major - Acct Information Systems) from Eastern Michigan University, USA, and an MS in Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University in 1994.²¹ Madiraju is working on her Ph.D. in Business Management and plans to complete it by the end of 2020.

Madiraju is certified in Executive and High-Performance Leadership from Cornell University (2019) and Executive Business Analytics from MIT (2020). Moreover, she holds certifications, including Six-Sigma Orange, Yellow and White Belt (2010), Six Sigma Greenbelt and Growth (2011), Six Sigma Greenbelt and Growth (2011), Quality by Design (2012), Lean (2012), HTML 5, and Scrum Master (CSM).³ 

Career

Madiraju works as a Senior IT Manager (Software Engineering And Architecture) for a Fortune 500 company.²⁵ She carries industry experience of more than 20 years.¹⁶ Her current role includes developing applications systems and utilizing the Agile SAFE Framework.²⁷ She works up close with SMEs¹⁴ to identify and analyze core requirements and key features for web portal projects, interact with development teams, customers and project managers to prioritize and validate requirements, and coordinate weekly estimation meetings to provide high-level estimates for varying projects.⁷

Madiraju has been accepted by the POWER group of Women - Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized.^8,9 She endorses a number of societies, including, the American Children Cancer Society, Hope Clothing house, Salvation army. She also donated a silver leaf at Saibaba Temple, Alpharetta, GA.

Madiraju is skilled in several programs, including Full System Development Life Cycle such as SDLC, Agile, and Hybrid and web portals development, using asp.net, vb.net, C#, web services, cloud APIs, oracle queries, and stores procedures. She excels in databases such as data collection, mining, querying, and reporting through statistical methods and statistical inference, and writes simple and complex queries for data analysis and report computation. Madiraju transforms complex business requirements into software, ensures applications are delivered on time, to specification, are scalable, performance-optimized, and maintainable, and mentors and coaches teams on scrum practices and policies. She holds credentials in Agile Framework, HTML5, AngularJS, SQL Server, Bootstrap, and Oracle.

She is a member of Toastmasters club, Poetry Society of America, Honor Society.

Madiraju released a TV ad available as a video album on Vimeo and YouTube, and wrote a screenplay, to be produced as a movie based on her book mid-summer woods called Summer Peonies,²⁹ which has been registered with the Writers Guild of America, documenting authorship of her written work. She plans to release a music video album early next year.

Her musical album Mesmerize is a 5-song album - A Gold Classic was released in March 2021. Madiraju has written, composed, and sung songs Seasonal Summers and Summer Sunrise from the album Mesmerize.^23,35,36

Madiraju released the album Autumn Sacred containing songs Autumn Promises, An Ode to Autumn Hills, Autumn Seasons, and Autumn Walk.

The latest volume includes Woods a Winter Weave Silver to be published in October 2020. The poetry includes cooking recipes as an art and new invention studies. The poetry highlights newer and deeper learning of vocabulary for a different set of studies.³⁷

She has written 16 volumes of poetry classics. The latest volume includes A View to a Door, a collection of abstract essays, Reserved Words and Comments, a communication art handbook, and Diaries of Jane Summers (Letters of Jane Summers to her Mother) to be released in May 2022. The poetry classic Woods, A Winter Weave Silver includes cooking recipes as an art and new invention studies. The poetry highlights newer and deeper learning of vocabulary for a different set of studies.³⁷

Madiraju created a new language, Durvue, and released a song in Durvue language. It is called Aumovue Sacauve, meaning an autumn sacred. She also released prayers of peace in the Durvue language. She released another song in the German language, Friends for a Lifetime.

She created new abstract classics for use as business strategies for business and economic methodology implementations. These classics can be extended through constructs as extended studies for new subjects or subjects with an extension for a purpose and use.

Publications

Madiraju has written 16 volumes of poetry classics, including collections of poems; also, a collection of short stories and a business book.⁴ Her best-known poem collection is Seasonal Woods: A Collection of Poems.⁴ Other books authored by Madiraju are An Artsy Life: Collection of Short Stories: a Classic and Scrum Art Hand Book: Effective Tips & Techniques.^5,6 In 2018, she published Autumn Woods: Collection of Poems; A Classic Volume 3.¹⁰ Another book named "Woods a Weave" is expected to be published in October 2019.

Madiraju released Woods, A Summer Weave, a poetry classic.³³ The book contains a hundred poems and is divided into seven sections. It was showcased at the Miami Book International Festival in November 2019.

In November 2020, Madiraju released Woods, a Winter Weave, Silver: A Collection of Poetry Classics - Vol 9.³¹ Her latest books are Woods An Art and Woods a Solitude. Madiraju is currently working on new abstract essays as a collection of essays for a book. She is also working on a business book to go out in May 2022.

Book Review

Autumn Woods by Jane Summers (Durga Madiraju) is a heartfelt poetry collection that captures the charm of autumn and other seasons in life. Using beautiful imagery as her backdrop, Summers describes circumstances that evoke different emotions as each season passes. In the poem, "Autumn Wishes" the poet describes days that are never empty since they are filled with opportunities to be kind to others. In another wonderful poem, "An Autumn Forest" she describes the enchantment of nature and how it changes during the season of autumn. The collection contains underlying themes of kindness, family, friendship, and love for nature in the midst of changing emotions and seasons.¹²
